About Me

I'm kiprono Robert ,Twenty five years old ,I went to kakibei primary school where I obtained a certificate of primary education and proceeded to Cheptenye Boys High school .I,m currently studying at kenyatta university .My year of study is fourth and I will be graduating this year..Also my parents was not able to provide us with basic need,for instance food clothes and shelter.And this was really a challenge for me and I had to face many difficulties in my education.And because I had a dream to be a successful person in future,I had to try all possible ways to try and obtain my school fees.I decided to start a business but the starting capital was a problem.Luckily enough I had a neighbor who is a Doctor and he assisted me to raise the starting capital.I started doing farming activity which includes planting of maize,beans ,bananas cabbages and spinach es,and supplying them to the neighboring school and now has improve my source of income.our land is productive.but the problem am facing is the high cost of purchasing fertilizers and pesticides to protect the pests and diseases from destroying plants.Also my home is is located near kiptere market and there is a ready market for selling my farm products.My brothers and sisters have big dream to become a doctor and an engineer respectively.My business has really change our family and I do raise fees to brothers and sisters,and providing my family with the money for the purchase of basic needs.During my free time,I like visiting children`s home because they are need of help,support and love.I do visit the old parents because they equips us with good moral behaviors that can help us to think and reason maturely leading to better living in the society we are in today.Also visiting the sick in hospital to show them concern and care that we have in them.

My Business

In my farm I do produce maize,beans,bananas,cabbages and spinach.I supply these products to my neighboring secondary school and they buy for us at a fair price,especially maize and beans because they are consumed by students who are in the boarding school.Because I produce large quantity and quality goods fro my farm,Many institutions around my home has given me a tender to be supplying them with my farm products.My products are in demand because my home is located near kiptere market and there are many learning institution next to our home area.Also institutions and hotels really depend on my products for their daily routine activities .I chose to do this business because of the following reasons;there is a ready market for my farm produce and it has really generate my income.Also the competition is fair and hence the prices of our commodities are fairly good unlike when competition is high which end up affecting the prices of commodities to be lower,also there are many learning institution around my home and there is good market for my products.I normally use approximately $10 to purchase the seedlings.The farm am using is productive but for more quality products to be obtained, I usually used approximately $60 to purchase fertilizers and $40 dollars to purchase pesticides to assist in controlling pest and diseases in the farm.$40 dollars are used to purchase new equipments and $25 to pay for laborers to increase on the output production in my farm.The schools and hotels that i supply them with my products pays approximately $450 per month and it has really assist my family to raise fees and money for purchase of family basic needs.My profits are used to buy improved quality seeds so that it produces good and quality products.Part of my profits are use to raise my school fees and also school fees to my brothers and sisters.sometimes equipment's wears out and I use part of my profits to purchase more equipment's for instances;jembes,pangas and spraying equipment's to help control the pest and diseases.Also my family living standard has generally improved due to increase earning in family and the income can be used to buy basics needs and other household requirements.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to purchase more equipments in my farm.i will use the loan to purchase jembes and pangas .the prices for jembe and pangas are $2 ans 3$.The purchasing of jembes and panga will help me to weed my plantation in time moreover its now time for weeding maize and beans ans this will help to ease faster work in my farm.The family will benefit with enough produce in my farm and there will be no more hunger in my family.thank you so much zidisha the leading lending community for coming up with this project of supporting us.The profit will increase rapidly because my farm produce will increase due to availability of enough equipments to be used in cultivation and planting and weeding of plantation
