I was born in Karandi village in laikipia county in1983 in afamily thirteen including my two parents. I was the last born of the eleven siblings. I was enrolled in Karandi primary school at the age of 5years old and finished my primary school at the age of 15 years in 1998. I lateron joined Karandi high school on 1999 and finished my "O" levrl in 2002 after along struggle due to financial problem since i lost both of my parents in an accident in the year 2000. Subsequently I could not proceed to college hence started small scale farming to support me and my family.I ventured into farming after doing research and realising that there was no father horticulture farming around and consumers were walking along distance for this product. I am married with two kids, aboy and a girl. My daughter would like to be a nurse and my son to be pilot in future. I like reading bible and travelling on my leisure time.
My business is small scale farming. I am growing horticulture such as maize, beans, and vegetables. I am selling my products to neighbouring schools, villagers and wholesale buyers. This is the only business which has been sustaining my family household since I lost my parents. The business is doing well though with some challenges. But it's putting a smile on my face. I make a net profit of average of $20 in a day. I am kindly requesting assistant for the purchase of some seedlings for these season. Thanks in advance.
I have been saving for business expansion and therefore if given this loan I will adds my savings into it and buys the following;- 10 bags of fertilizer @ $300 for next season plantation. 3 weellbarrow @ $30 each costing $90 in total. I will used $150 for hired labourers during harvesting of my farm plantation.
