About Me

My name is Mary Njeri Wanduma. I am a single mother of two children, aged 7 and 12. I went to Mwiyogo Primary School in my village but, due to poverty, I couldn't continue with my education despite being the best student in class. Today, after eighteen years of struggling, I have all the reasons to thank the Lord because I was able to join a private education centre and receive my secondary education. I am now looking forward to attending university--hopefully next year (2017)!

I am committed and focused on my vision to eradicate poverty with your help. I come from a humble family background under my parents who are also Christians. We attend the One Rock Restoration Church here in Mawanga Center.

I live at the Mawanga Estate near Kenya Industrial Training Institute {K.I.T.I} in Nakuru County. Thank you!

My Business

My business is about 10 miles from where I reside, and I use public transportation for my daily commute. I currently buy broken glass and I employ youths to collect and transport the glass to a recycling factory. It might seem cumbersome, but it has created jobs for our local youths while benefiting the environment. Sometimes, it's not about how much money we make, but the smile we give to the less fortunate when they have food on the table. This loan will to enable me to buy gloves, gumboots, and dustcoats to enable us to work safely. The business monthly net profit is fifteen to twenty thousand ($166 - $222 USD) per month. With this, I'll be able to repay the loan, pay for my children's education, and reinvest in my business as it expands. I'll be able to employ more youths, which also improves security in our area. It is my humble prayer that my loan proposal will be accepted. Thank you and God bless you all.

Loan Proposal

Once am funded, I'll purchase some gloves, gumboots and dustviats as well. This will enable us to work safely and conviniently. It will also enable us to employ more youths who has become threat in our society due to lack of employment.
The previous loan, we were expecting a net profit of 15-20thousand in a month with me and the help of three young men and it happened. This time I'd like to add the same number and hopefully our income will increase to 30-40 thousand per month.
Thankyou
Mary.

    Dear zidisha
I greet you all with the love of Christ. Am humbled and grateful to you all who funded my loan application mid this years as we were in need of job equipments.I received the money on due time and bought the gloves, gumboots and dustcoats as I had explained. Since then we have been working with my group and due to job scarcity, more youths have been pleading with us to offer them as well which is our wish. With my new application I'd like to add some wor king equipments and add some young men as well. The investment has changed my lifestyle and for the youths involved as well since food, clothes and shelter is no longer an issue.Am grateful and looking forward for more funds as we grow.

This another good afternoon here in Kenya.I am kindly requesting for a lower amount for my weeks payments for the time being. This has been caused by the slow customers response from their previous orders they had made with me which for now they have not yet collected their curtains. They have promised to come for them after tomorrow's Kenyan holiday and thereafter i will adjust my installments.Thank you and God bless you in advance.
