During my free time I like social work as a way of giving back to the community, mentoring the younger generation through motivational talks and watching football especially during the weekends.

My Business

I operate a kiok business in section 58 in nakuru approximately one and half kilometers from Nakuru town. Where I sell food stuffs such as unga(flour), biscuits, sweets, mandazis, phone airtime which are fast moving products. I choose do engage in this business because of the high population in this area and so many road juctions in this area which gives me a very big number of customers hence high stock turnover in a week enabling me to make high returns. Despite of having other kiosks around my customers tend to love my shop due to the quality of services and customer friendliness of my place this has enabled me attract and retain more customers throughout the years.
In a month am able to make averagely USD 1000 in normal times but upto USD 1200 in peak seasons I.e when schools close in April, August and December when the population of people with families increase tremendously. Am also projecting high demand of my products due to the favourable. climate in the fourth comming general elections. My expenditures for the month include; Rent, electricity, labour and purchases which translate to averagely USD 700 in a month. In addition am operating milk ATM which has really booster not only my income but also the community at large.

Loan Proposal

Am intending to diversify my business by venturing into dairy milk business whereby I am planning to purchase the milk ATM at our centre. Have conducted a feasibility study and have noted the gap and am ready to venture into this new business idea. The machine costs USD 2500 and the other related cost I.e license, inspection by the dairy board, salary for the operator and other running cost approximately USD 500 hence a total cost of USD 3000. I have focusted a return of USD 200 net.
