About Me

I'm James Owino Okoth born in 03 September 1998 in Gem Kambare location. I am the sixth child in a family of eleven children fed, brought up and guarded by my widowed mother. My father died in 2001, leaving eleven children for my mother to feed and educate by mere subsistence farming and working for villagers to obtain money. I went to Aluor primary school and did my kcpe examination in 2013,passed and proceeded to Ratiya youth polytechnic college in Bondo constituency to study building and construction. I finished my course in 2015 and went to Bondo town to search for masonry job opportunities to earn a living. I got sufficient jobs, saved some money and I got married in 2016 the following year and God the Creator blessed me with a baby boy and still very young to make decisions on his future carrier. In Gem Kambare, we experience heavy rainfall which is good for farming and cattle keeping to earn a living. During Sundays, I usually attend to church service, watch good movies, read Bible and magazines to relieve boredom and monotony of similar activity.

My Business

In Bondo,I receive masonry jobs tenders like plastering of houses, stone pitching, floor screading, construction of zero joints stones and any other building and construction works. The money received is used to provide food for the family, clothes, paying of school fees for my 2 young brothers and a sister who are still schooling in primary classes, settling various family expenses like electricity bills, water and traveling costs and purchasing of building and construction equipment.

Loan Proposal

If this amount is disbursed to me, I will use it to buy (1) 4 bags of bamburi cement at a cost of KES 2920/=,(2)a small trowel for finest work at a cost of KES 200/=,(3)2 litres of turpentine at a cost of KES 300/=,(4)repairing of other old plumbing tools at a cost of KES 300/=.This will aid in purchasing food, clothes, paying school fees, improve living standard of family and catering for some secondary needs in the family. I'm expecting this purchase to increase income by 50% and definitely positive improvement in financial status.

No effort to repay in over 4 months. I dislike leaving negative comments but do believe in accountability, without it there would be no Zidisha to make loans.
