I was born in Nakuru county in a poverty stricken family. I went to school at milimani primary school whereby in the afternoon I used to do manual jobs I peoples farm in order to get money for my stationeries,and take some to my mother
I attended moi sec school then later I was sponsored by a local NGO to study agriculture, later I was given capital where I bought my 3 dairy cows
which I now do dairy farming in a piece of land left to me by my late parents
My business entails Dairy farming. i sell milk from my 3 cows for a profit
.milk is one of the commodities with the highest demand right now.
i chose this kind of business as its what i studied in college
my cows produce approx 30 litres of milk on a daily basis. i sell 1 litre of milk at a cost of 55/- per liter making it 1650/- a day that is $16 usd.
i use my profit for inventory and home use.it is a source of my livelihood and source of extra savings
i am intending to purchase a cube of salt lick for my cows
one cube cost $4 per cube
Benefits of giving livestocks salt is high.
one being to keep away diseases and to mak th animals have strong bones
healthy animals give good produce hence a profit from the produce
