About Me

Serwaa Monica is my name and I am from Tepa in the Asunaafo north district of Ghana. I am a young independent seamstress. I am senior high school graduate from Tepa Senior High school (SHS). I am a Christian and fellowship with Presbyterian church,Tepa Central branch. I am the only child of my family. I was quite brilliant in class but unfortunately for me, my mother doesn't work and my father passed away some 14 years ago. I live on my own and have work as shop keep to a neighbor for about 3 years after my High school education to save some money for my future.
Since I wasn't having money to proceed to study professional fashion in university, I learn it from my boss lady as an apprentice. I study this sewing job for 3 years and finally graduated.

My Business

I graduated from my apprenticeship in December 2014. But since rising of capital to start my own business was little problem for me because of my poor financial background, I started working in front of my house under a canopy till about 3 months ago that i was able to rent a store room from the savings I have made ever since I graduated from the apprenticeship. I have a lot I need to buy for my new shop, but I don't have enough money for that. I however approached a friend and she introduced me to zidisha.

Loan Proposal

I was to purchase new polyesters and materials to make new cloths for my customers. I believe by so doing, I can gain some profit from the materials and the polyesters I will sell to my customers. In this case, I can gain profit from the sale and the sewing of the cloths to my dear customers. This will go a high way of raising my profit margin for me to expand my business and taking good care of myself. I can also save enough money to pay back the loan I am taking every week.
I believe, if I am granted a loan of $150, I can get 20 pieces of polyesters and material cloths that will raise my profit margin by 20%. Please kindly help me to build my business as you have been always doing to poor people like me. Thank you lenders and zidisha. God bless you all
