My name is vincent. I am married and God has blessed me with two children.
I grew up in Rachuonyo, Homabay County. I grew up in a very poor and down trodden family. My father struggled to educate me which did not bear much fruit due to lack of school fees.
I live in Nairobi nowadays pursuing business enterprise.
My dreams for the future is to have a boutique shop, train young people as entrepreneurs and educate my children to university.
A story that demonstrate my entrepreneurial spirit is a lady who introduced me in jua kali hawking business called Jane. She encouraged me and motivated me not to lose hope in life. "Life is how someone defines it. If you believe in poverty you will die poor but, if you believe in prosperity, God will lift you up to what your spirit desires", declared Jane.
I moved on and started hawking around different variety of products around the residential places..
I sale handbags, pair of shoes for ladies and men, curtains, and mosquito nets. I started my business five years ago. I wanted to be self employed so that i could create job opportunity for other languishing young people in the market place. I also wanted to have sustainable livelihood as a responsible husband in the house. My biggest challenge is obviously the financial capital to boost and expand my business and that is why when i heard about Zidisha that changes lives through Pr Omari Omollo, i could not restrain my interest from applying. My customers are women, young and old, Men young and old, children and sometimes i sale in wholesale to retailers. My goals number one is to restock my business, identify a stationed stall and employ two young ladies to help me do the business. I am very much proud of my business because it has changed my life for better. I am able to provide for my family.
Considering the kind of customers i have in place i would like to use Ksh 3000 to purchase sport shoes, school bags and curtains. I expect this purchase to help increase my inventory, revenue and profit so that i will be financially stable. My business will be impacted so much because i will be able to meet my customers' demand in the market place. My personal life will be impacted and transformed economically, socially and physically. I will be able to educate my children accordingly.
