About Me

I am Jerry Owusu Amponsah, a Ghanaian. I am From poor village called Anwain in Asunafo south district. My profession is teacher .

My Business

I have established school to help educate the children of my community. We have a student errolment of 110 pupil. I started with with Creshe and now we have reached KG1 , KG2 and BS1 respectively. I charge a little token to buy basic teaching and learning materials and pay the teachers I have employed. Most of the pupils are orphans and therefore unable to pay the school fees which as a result have affected the school inability to purechase the teaching and learning materials and pay the staff too. We lack basic infrastructure like classrooms, liberary, toilet facility, dinning hall, tables and chairs, computer etc and even money to feed the pupils whose parents have died. There are a lot of kids who are at home and who are willing to come to school but because of our lack of modern classrooms and other materials, we are unable to admit them. I have employ six (6) teachers now. Each class have one (1) teacher. The standard in Ghana is that each basic classroom should have at least two(2) teachers but because of our lack of finances , we are unable to employ more teachers. Even those we have employed, it is difficult to pay their allowance.

Loan Proposal

Some of the pupils don't have table and chair to sit on to learn and some of the kids have to carry their stools from their houses to school so I will use this loan to purchase tables and chair for some of the pupils
