About Me

I was born in a village in trans nzoia district currently tranzoia county in a family of 6 being the last-born. 22 may 1990.
I went to a local primary school(mitoni mitatu primary) where I was for the entire primary education. I later joined secondary school, family family not being very well off, it was not easy through high school but I was lucky to have completed my high with a grade for college, this was not without its perils i.e being sent home constantly home for school fees, I did my best and past my exams.

I enrolled in a local college, where I have been learning until I learned of Zidisha. My father's piece of land has enabled me to cultivate crops like beans to pay for fee. This has subsequently turned out to be my business, my employment.

I come from a very homely and very hospital people. Their main economic activity is agriculture, most do it on a local level, but I want to add some technological side to it.
I like playing football and so do my friends, but while off the field, I do read interesting articles, especially those on agriculture.

My Business

I concentrate on agriculture i.e cultivation of crops, my produce does vary in respect to the different seasons. Among the popular crops are beans, kales, cabbage and tomatoes occasionally.

My market is usually local but in some cases I do also supply to the local market and my nearest town Kitale. During the rainy season is when I have enough to supply to the town.

During the dry season, I do irrigation but lack of proper equipment does in most cases hamper my efforts. The proceeds of my produce are entirely committed to my college fee.

Typical returns will be three times the total investment, that's after all expenditure is deducted i.e. an investment of ten thousand will yield a crop of thirty thousand, this usually takes a period of three to four months. Since the crops mature in different seasons, keen inter-cropping ensures different maturity period hence a sort of constant revenue.

Loan Proposal

The purpose of my loan application is to purchase water pipes that will facilitate an all round the year cultivation. The required pipes go for 80 dollars, this should facilitate my irrigation plans, I will in the future buy my own water pump but for now i will rely on renting one. If I successfully purchase the pipes then the produce should double and will be my sales, this should facilitate the acquisition of of the water pump.
