About Me

Am John Bonface Wafula Sakwa aged 40 years. I come from Kabula village, Bumula Sub-county, Bungoma county. I've always loved organic farming since my childhood although it has always challenged me due to financial constraints. I did my High School from St. Peter's Mumias and a year latter joined Missionaries of the poor in Uganda and later left to Jamaica for further formation where I trained as a nurse.. I worked there in the farm as well as in the medical Centre. I can back in the year 2008 to Kenya where I enrolled as a teacher at Universal Teachers Training College after which I enrolled at Daystar University for project Management. I enrolled later later later later for a bachelor's degree in Sustainable Human Development at Tangaza University to enable me venture into more farming.

My Business

Am doing both gardening and animal husbandry and since my farming is purely organic, am able to get manure from animals to apply in my firm and use the farm produce to feed my animals thus complementing each other. I began my agribusiness using my little savings and donations from friends. this is how I overcame my hardships. From garden produce, I made some good earnings which enabled me venture into more farming enterprises like poultry and rabbit keeping the projects that are encouraging. With the help of your loans am able to grow my agribusiness and use the profits to improve my life and the life of others. I have established Divine Mercy Children Home (orphanage) with now 30 children who will entirely benefit from my profits from the farm. I nearly make 100% profit in all my enterprises.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to purchase materials to expand my Rabbit project. I will use 40$ to purchase timber, 40$ to purchase iron sheets, 10$ to purchase nails and 30$ for labour. The project is expected to increase it's profits to 50,000 weekly. this will help me to complete my university fees of 200,000 and help me to support my orphanage with the remaining amount. The loan will help increase production and reduce straining.

    Hello,

My name is Wairimu Gathii, a Volunteer Mentor with Zidisha.

I reached out to John, the applicant herein, with a view of establishing what his status was. He informed me that he had fallen into the hand of robbers, beaten up and injured seriously. He had to be hospitalized and this required a lot of money, destabilizing his financial situation. He seeks your kind indulgence and promises to get his account back on track.

    Wishing him a speedy recovery.

    Wairmu Gathii, VM.
