About Me

Born in a family of 7, and being the first born, I started my primary education in 1982, at Hillside Primary School in an oversized uniform. Following the divorce of my parents when I was still a toddler, life become quite hard due to the fact that my mother was not in any form of employment. We used to eat two meals in a day, i.e. lunch and supper. It was considered to be a very lucky day whenever my mother could afford to provide us with breakfast. I vividly still remember very well when one day I knocked off from school on a very empty stomach, and there was totally nothing to eat at home, that I was compelled to go pick up some dumped half loaf of bread from the neighbor's dust bin. I ate without even minding the fear of contracting diseases from food that has been thrown away in the dust bin.

Notwithstanding, I did not lose focus on my academic endeavors. And so I managed to pass to go to grade 8 and completed my junior secondary education in 1990. To cut the long story short, I also managed to complete my secondary education at Hillcrest Technical Secondary School in 1993, and proceeded to Copperbelt University where I studied Land Economics.

During my time of growing up, I have always had a passion for doing business. I remember starting the business of ordering buns, sweets, biscuits and other grocery items early in the morning, and reselling them that day by the roadside in my community. The business was doing very fine such that I could finance some of the expenses at home, as well as buy myself some good secondhand clothes.

Upon completion of my tertiary education, I worked in formal employment for about four (4) years, and then resigned and got into full-time business. A decision which my mother was not very much amused with, because her line of thought was that a person can only make it in life when he/she is in formal employment. Notwithstanding, I had already made up my mind, and I believe in the decision that I had made of going full-time into business.

I started my business by doing some building maintenance work, painting and supply of building materials. At some point, I discovered that the business wasn't doing very fine, and so after doing background research, I switched to the supplying of medical and laboratory equipment and other hospital consumables, under my registered company called Hosp-Lab Investments Ltd. The business has actually continued, doing fine to the extent that I have even diversified into the transport industry of commuting passengers through a taxi minibus.

Well, talking about the uniqueness of the Zambian culture, it is a culture that is mainly characterized by friendliness and hospitality. A Zambian culture is one that makes every person irrespective of race, religion and tribe feel most welcome. Moreover, Zambia is an attractive investment destination because of the peaceful environment that it provides. The government has also labored to create a conducive business environment by ensuring that taxes paid are not prohibitive, registration of companies is not cumbersome, etc.

My children are a set of three (3) boys and one girl. The first born boy child has done a transport and logistics management course, the second born wants to do medicine, the third born (girl) says that she wants to become a lawyer and last born is in baby class.

My most unique hobby is playing chess and reading business literature.

My Business

Currently I am running my own company called Hosp-Lab Investments Ltd. It is a company registered in Zambia, under the Companies Act. Hosp-Lab is a modestly-sized company whose line of business is mainly the supply of medical & laboratory equipment and other hospital consumables.

The medical and laboratory consumables are very useful in the sense that these are the tools used in hospitals for curing diseases. I chose this kind of business because it's profitable, and also I wanted to become a partner in providing health services to the needy persons.

Typical costs are in form of rent, salaries, electricity, internet and transport. And the revenue comes in the form of sales of the medical and laboratory products.

In addition, I also run a transport business which is registered under Melvax General Dealers. I have a Hiace Minibus which works as a taxi minibus.

The transport services are a daily requirement for people that are commuting from one point to another. Therefore, a taxi minibus generates income on a daily basis for as long as it's in perfect condition and it's running on the road. This was the main reason I had to choose this line of business.

Loan Proposal

I need to buy Radiator for my Taxi so that it is road worth my Taxi business and as i will be using two Taxis in order to increase my sources of income. I will benefit from it and be able to clear all my children school and my entire family will benefit. I will manage to buy the Radiator at $190 because it will also be second hand. And i will be raising about $400 every month on each Taxi.

    Wow...!!!!
A very big thank you to you Mr. John Minges, for having generously funded my loan 100%...!!!! Am deeply humbled by your kindness. And may the good Lord richly bless the works of your hands..!!!

Well, with the loan obtained, I strictly intend to buy a Radiator for my recently acquired Taxi Minibus. Once the minibus becomes operational, it will help me generate the necessary income. Part of the profit that will be made, is going to go towards the paying of school fees for my children and also for the two defendants that am currently keeping. The other profit component will be reinvested in the business so as to grow up the capital.

Finally, I wish to once more again say thank you so very much for the loan which has been advanced to me. And I promise that I will strictly adhere to the prescribed terms and conditions of the given loan.

    Wow...!!!!
Thank you so very much my lenders for fully funding my loan!!!! Am extremely elated for this generous act that you have done for me.

Well, as already highlighted in my loan application profile, I intend to purchase a radiator for my recently acquired taxi minibus.

Once the taxi minibus starts operating, it means that the fleet of my taxi minibus will increase from one to two, thereby also increasing the revenue that will be realized from my transport business. Moreover, the taxi minibus will create employment to the driver and conductor that will be employed. Taxes will also be paid to the government.

A very big thank you once more time to you all my good, wonderful and generous lenders. You have made the running and growing of my transport business much easier, in that you always come through for me in times of need.

May God richly Bless You All..!!!

Many thanks to ZIDISHA for it came in for me when I was terribly financially handcuped.

With the loan, I managed to buy the new tyre for my taxi Minibus at a when I desperately needed my bus to be working on the road, in order to pay the school fees for my children.

Momentarily, my working capital has increased to the extent that I intend to purchase another Taxi Minibus.

My family and I are happy because financially, life has now become manageable.

Today I can confidently say that I am going to clear my outstanding credit balance because through Zidisha, my financial capacity has been soundly built up...!!!!!!

Currently am financing the expenses for my mother in-law who has been sick with Stroke. and this has necessitated the reduction in my loan instalment amount.

However, as soon as I have a financial breather, I'll increase my loan instalment back to K150/week.

The loan that I had acquired did assist me in buying the tyre for my taxi minibus. The investment I made with this loan turned out to be very good in the sense that my taxi minibus is operating well, thereby realising some money to pay for the school fees of my children as well as help out in paying the medical bills for my mother inlaw who is not too well.

Meanwhile, I remain committed to redeeming my loan.

    Wow....!!!!

This is the best and sweetest news that I have ever heard in my life...!!!

Am deeply humbled by the fact of having to know that we still have good and wonderful people in this world with a big heart that seeks to help other people who are in need.

Well, let me quickly seize this rare privilege and opportunity to thank all those wonderful people who saw it fit and necessary to finance me with a loan for buying the brand new tyre for my minibus taxi. ..!!!!!

The loan will strictly be applied towards the intended purpose for which it was requested. I.e the purchase of the brand new tyre for my minibus taxi. Roadworthy tyres ensure the efficient and effective service delivery to our customers.

To all the funders of my loan, be rest assured that am going to observe the terms and conditions of the loan, and that I'll strictly adhere to the rules and regulations that govern the loan that has been disbursed to me.
