About Me

I am Elizabeth Odhok from a family of six. ; i.e three brothers and myself. I live in Kenya at Nairobi. I had primary schooling at All Saints in Kitale and later proceeded to St brigids girls for secondary education.I did a course in mechanics at the College and got my first job as an intern which lasted for three months only. From there it became difficult to get employment and so was unemployed for two years. However I really enjoy graphic designing and that is what prompted me to start a business in graphic design. At first having no income or capital I relied on a friend who had the same business and so would get commision for the jobs i brought. I saved as much as I could until when I afforded to get my first computer to do my own designs. I come from the Luo community in kenya. In my free time I read a lot of books because I believe learning is a life process.

My Business

My main bisuness is branding and graphic designs. It is my core business to put your brand out there for the whole world to know about and eventually increase your business. This is done in both print media as fliers, banners, magazines, catalogs and also social media.
This service are a basic for any organization or business that requires to be put out there and gain a wide base in the market because of its own marketing .
I chose this kind of busines because number one it is what I like to do both as a past time and a source of income, I can do it any time any where and there is also so much potential for graphic designers out there as the market is never ending.
I calculate my revenue on a weekly basis i.e for printing works after all the deductions i.e paper, rent, data etc I have a profit of 2,000 k sh on the lower side for savings.
This are the savings that I intend to buy a digital printer with.

Loan Proposal

I plan to use my loan on the expansion of my business that is to invest in more inventory . To acquire a thermal laminating machine for 37$ complete with laminating pouch for 29$ so as to start producing plastic ID cards. I will also buy more printing papers to have more available stock.
I believe that by expanding into production of plastic IDs then i can target schools and institutions for their cards and that will be a major growth to my business considering this is the end of the year and as the new year begins then there will be a very big demand for these cards.
This will ensure a profit increase of up to 50$ averagely per week hence pushing me closer to my goals of acquiring the digital printer.
