I am Patrick Karanja Wagemah and hail from Nakuru Kenya. I was born in Karunga, Bahati Nakuru where my parents live. I attended my primary education in Murungaru primary School in Bahati Nakuru and later went to St. Johns Secondary Bahati for my secondary education. Upon completion, I joined Eregi TTC for my P1 Certificate in teaching. I have worked at Josyn Academy and st. Francis Asiss and currently at Kings Academy Nakuru. I am a teacher by profession and does business part time. Recently i bought a Tuk Tuk This is a common means of transport within nakuru town as its flexible and offer door to door services not common with other means. I have employed a driver and mainly it operates within Nakuru town and its environs. This has helped me boost my income which enabled me to enroll for a Degree course at Egerton University where I carry out my studies during school holidays and will be graduating later this year. I like reading and travelling as a hobby.
A part from teaching at Kings Academy Nakuru, I am businessman and most of my cash comes from the Tuk Tuk business.Tuk Tuk business entails transporting goods and people mostly in town. This is a new trend in most major towns in Kenya as they have become a popular means of transport popular to many town residents. Many customers prefer Tuk Tuk transport as it is cheap and flexible. This business ha been doing well and have even better prospects in future as it has become a popular means of transport within major towns in Kenya. My tuk tuk mainly offers services within Nakuru town and sometimes outside the town depending on demand. The risk I face is high maintenance cost and getting faithful and honest drivers as some of them are not reliable. I am only able to monitor it during weekends and school holidays, however I am still exploring possibility of employing a person that I can trust most. Within a month, I have a net income of about ksh 20,000 which I use for upkeep and paying my tuition fees at Egerton University. This is a profitable venture bearing in mind that for instance fuel consumption is low. I shall be able to repay my loan from the Tuk Tuk business.
