About Me

CHILDHOOD AND EDUCATION
I was born in small village of Kaplelach vilage of Ndanai division ,Sotik district Bomet county in the year 1992. I started my schooling in Kaplelach primary school when I was 5 years. I completed my Primary school in the year 2008. I joined Tenwek Boys High school in Bomet.
HOW I OVERCOME HARDSHIP.
It was while I was in class Eight that I lost both my parents and had to rely on well wishers and relatives for support to see me complete my secondary level. It was at this time that I decided to invest the little I saved from my sponsors. while I was in form two I purchased a second hand Pool table and stationed it in our nearby center Kaplelach where we would play with my friends and age mates
HOW I COME TO START MY BUSINESS
I come to start my business seriously when I finished Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education . (KCPE)Since I had my pool table near our trading center I decided to indulge myself into real pool table,snap cards and darts playing.
UNIQUENESS OF OUR LAND AND CULTURE
Our land is red loamy soil supporting many crops like Tea as the main cash crop, maize,beans and dairy farming. Our land was once white highland scheme during colonial era. My kalenjin people has a very good culture and are social people working together in harmony with their neighbors.
WHAT OUR CHILDREN WANT WHEN THEY GROW
Our children want to be engineers,architects,doctors and teachers when they grow up.
MY UNIQUE HOBBY
My unique hobby is working with the disadvantaged in the community especially orphans as I know what they are going through. Usually I spend my free time when am at home at Abosi children home sponsored by the Catholics.

My Business

MY GOODS OR SERVICE I PROVIDE
My service actually is to provide space and time for my customers who many of them are my fellow youths who are still waiting for their chances to join colleges and universities. I do provide number of services to them like Dart game whereby a person has to register with Ksh.50 or 100 for two.approximately 1 US Dollar. Pool table is the most income generating as it can be played at once by more than two. and each paying Ksh.20. for just less than five minutes. In a good day I am able to make minimum Ksh.500 Approximately 6 US Dollars.
REASONS WHY THIS SERVICE OF HIGH DEMAND.
Since many youths are idle and are in need of recreational activity to remove their boredom, its the most enjoyed by youths and as a result i have large population of youth hence a good income and profit to my business.
REASON WHY I CHOOSE THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS
The reason why I choose this type of business is that pool table as a game is my favorite since I was primary school.Two is that it removes idleness among many youths I as included hence reduce crime in the community. And three is the profit I am making and considering the less maintenance needed as compared to other type of business which need to be restocked each an every time.
MY TYPICAL COST AND REVENUES
My typical cost include rent,water bill,electricity, Chalks for wall writing, stationeries like pens,exercise books. which cost about 10,000 Ksh. Approximately 100 US.Dolars per month. Every week I got approximately 3700 Ksh.Including expenses( 370 US Dollars)
USE OF MY PROFIT
I use my profit in opening other branches for example I have opened one near my campus which is being managed by hired person paid on monthly basis.Monthly rent,water bill,stationery and my general upkeep.

Loan Proposal

My first loan from zidisha will improve my business in opening other branches in my area especially near institution like colleges. This will reduce the students from sneaking to neighboring towns to seek this service. I will also make sure that I included entertainment for my customers by providing Television screen and also music system so as to entertain themselves as they play. I will make sure I rent one latest pool table so as to attract many youths.

I know my life and those who are associated direct or indirect with me and my business together with my community will change positively
After all this investment I expect to enjoy monopoly as my competitors do not over this services and expect my profit to increase by up to 50%
