About Me

Am Derick kavai mwashi. Am 23 years old I was born in sabatia western province but currently I live in Nairobi this where I own a small movie shop along side going to school. I come from a family of 4, i am the third born. After completing high school I joined Tuk University in Nairobi where I study hotel management, it's taken me a while to complete this course because of limitations of finances. Since I have other siblings who are also in university and we all depend on our parents.
I decided to started this business to lessen the burden my parents had. That way am able to take care some of my bills like my hostel fees feedings and a few other things.

My Business

I own a movie shop and I have done this business for the past three years. I started this business in order to give a helping hand to my parents who at times struggle to meet our financial needs.
I usually attend to my business after classes and weekends and most of my clients are my school mates so most of the time I do make deliveries to them while at school.
The challenge that I face mostly is the capital to buy blank DVDs. Since my whole business depends on the availability of the blank DVDs.
At times a lose clients due to lack of DVDs and this is a challenge I would like to overcome and be able to have DVDs that can cover me for a long time.
In a month I make an average of kes 25000. I use this amount to pay for the rent of my business premises and the electricity bill. Then the remaining amount I use it to pay some of my bills and also make sure I do a little savings even if it's 200 this comes along way sometime.

Loan Proposal

Hello dear lenders, I would like to express my gratitude for all the good work you doing in helping us small entrepreneurs. I run a movie that has really grown from the support you have been giving me. After doing a survey around my business location I noticed the shops that over Mpesa services are limited, for that reason I would like to register for the Mpesa service to run alongside my movie shop, first I'll need to get an Mpesa aggregated line which allows me receive money and do deposits to clients, then I will need a small phone which will enable me do the transactions, to make sure clients know I offer the service I'll need to get an Mpesa led sign, this will signal client that I offer the service at my movie shop.
The loan am requesting for will help me carter for all the costs to have the Mpesa services. Bellow is how I will spend the loan of 320 dollars ;
1. Get an aggregated Mpesa line @ 100 dollars
2. Buy a Mpesa Led sign @ 25 dollars
3. Top up Mpesa float @ 150 dollars
4. Buy a small simple phone @ 15 dollars
5. Blank dvds for my movie shop @ 35 dollars

Having the service at my Mpesa shop will widen my sources of income, I will be making my profits through the commission I earn from the transaction I do. I hope you will consider funding my loan to help register for the Mpesa services.
Kindly regards,
Derick.
