About Me

I am married with one kid who is in baby class. I attended kenyatta university for two years and then differed because of financial constraints. I was taking bachelor of education, arts, which i hope to complete in the future. I am a devout christian, in fact i am a sunday school teacher at my church. I also do charity works especially with childrens home.

My Business

I make hand woven mats using canvas and thick threads. It takes me two days to complete a door mat. The materials of a door mat cost ksh 1500 and i sell it for ksh 2000-3000. I make atleast ksh 500 for every mat i make and it increases with the size. I lack the capital to buy materials for bigger mats. Customers also usually shy away from giving me deposit since i do not have a shop and operate from my house . Most of them also prefer ready made mats rather than waiting. I also hope to own a shop where customers will be able to come and visit.
I also help a friend in her salon and get a daily allowance of ksh 300. If granted the loan i will pay back using my daily allowance savings and the sales i will be making.

Loan Proposal

I would first want to thank zidisha for the first loan which greatly helped me. I have been making fluffy mats / carpet and selling them just from my house. I would like to rent a shop that i will use to display and sell the carpets and hopefully this will expand my business. I will rent a small shop that will cost me around $100 and use the rest to buy more materials. Thank you.

I am really struggling to raise money at the moment being that i went back to school and now i am on full time attachment with no pay. I am greatful for helping raise my fees but regret the fact that i can't keep up with the ontime repayment. The small business i had I've got no faithful person to help me run them so so far I've closed them dowm. I'm now fully depending on my husband until i graduate in December. I hope to come back on my feet in January and be able to pay back. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience caused.

I had taken my previous loan to start a chicken business but i had many challenges because i was in Nairobi and i had established the business upcountry. However, i am very greatful because i still make mats and also help my friend at the salon. I was able to get a little profit from the chicken but not as much as i expected. I am still hoping it will pick up.

I would like to reschedule my loan repayments since i would like to maintain my on time repayment but due increased responsibility and business going down, i have really lagged behind. I hope that with reducing the amount i will pay back on time. I apologize for any inconviniences caused to the lenders and greatful too for your help and patience.

I had to help my parent complete my younger sisters school fees for third term and thus was unable to make my weekly installment on time. Schools were being opened this week and the students couldn't be allowed back with any outstanding fees. I am very sorry for any inconviniences to the lenders and i promise to try catching up to catch up with the schedule .thank you.
