About Me

Esther Pokuaa Benneh is the name I respond to. I was born in the year 1995, on the 21st February, 1995. I come from Koraaso a suburb of Berekum in the Brony Ahafo Region of Ghana. We are family of five (5) excluding both my father and mother of which three (3) girls and two (2) boys. I am the last among the five offspring.
I completed my basic education at Voice of Deliverance Preparatory Junior High School in Berekum and continued secondary education at Kumasi Girl Senior High School, at Kumasi Regional Capital of Asante Region. After my secondary education I could not pursue to higher level due to financial difficulty so I engaged in shoe making so that at least I can earn something to feed myself and help the family and provide good services to my community as well.
I started designing and making shoe in the year 2013 and now I can make 10 pieces of shoes and 20 pieces of ladies slippers and sandals a day together with my one employee.
I am a member of Jehovah Witness and hold position of usher at Berekum branch. I like singing.

My Business

EPB Design and Shoe Making is small business which was founded by Esther Pokuaa Benneh in the year 2013. The company has operated in Berekum, located on the Alawa Street just beside the walls of Adom Carpentry Shop house number D17/3. It has been in existence for the past 1-2 years working on small scale designs and making shoes, repair, and alteration projects focusing on residential contracting. With the business boom and unemployment rate that is occurring in the community as a result of people eager to wear and the desire to improve overall profit margins, to employ and train more people from the community, and to provide good and cheap services to the people in the community, I have planned to shift its target market from the local clients to the entire community customers. This business plan will lay out my goals and tasks to make this transition successful and create enough market shares for the betterment of the community at large.
I am the sole owner of EPB. It began in 2013 just after my High School Education with one employee but hoping to employed and train more workers all from my community. The business was established to provide ready made Shoes, Slippers and Sandals at affordable prices and for easy access for the people in the community since it was very difficult for the people to afford the once brought in from the city. I started the business with initial capital of 1200 dollars. EPB Design and Shoe Making offers services such as design work, Shoe Making, and Shoe Repairs.
Berekum area is booming this moment, overall business growth during the past two years has averaged approximately 6000 dollars a week. Hoping to be offered this wonderful opportunity to Rent a shop and buy the necessary equipment such smoothing machine, lather and binding materials, which sum up to 4600 dollars? This will help me immensely by increasing my dairy income by 2%.

Loan Proposal

I hope to put it to a good use by renting a shop which cost 1000 dollars, buying smoothing machine costing 1200 dollars , lather which is 800 dollars , pins and necessary binding materials costing 1000 dollars so that it can be beneficial to the entire community. A total cost of about 4000 dollars is estimated to embark on this
Mission. This will help me increase my dairy income by 2% averagely approximately 800 dollars a week. I will be able to repay under any terms and conditions given.
