I am a second born child in a family of seven six boys one girl, i started my primary education in shitaho primary school and later started my transport business in early 2000 as a bicycle rider commonly known as boda boda in 2007 i started riding a motor bike being employed by someone and i have since grown to buying my own motor bike and many more others. The business has been doing good and i have been able to buy land and build a house out of the same business, the demand for motor bike transport in kakamega town is very high and that gives me hope to continue doing the business. i am married and God has blessed me with four children three boys one girl.
My business involves transporting people from one corner of town to the other, i transport people to different destinations and i start my day at 5am till 8pm. We charge an average of between Ksh. 50 $0.50 to Ksh. 100 $1 per trip depending with the distance i make an average of Ksh. 700 a day. With the daily earning i have been able to save with Sacco and join micro finance institutions which have helped me purchase land build a house and buy two other motor bikes that i have employed other youths. i have also been able to pay schools fees for my children and provide the family other basic necessities.
i would like to repair one of motor bikes that is no longer working, the motor bikes needs a full replacement of the hind tire and other services to be fully functional and be able to generate for me more revenues. The cost of the new tire is Ksh. 11000 $110 and with this i will be able to increase my revenues and be able to service the loan effectively.
