About Me

Owusu Adoma is my name and i come from Ghana, a west African country. My parents are Ghanaians and they are farmers who farm and live in Kukuom, a small town in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. My parents are maize farmers and they produce the maize crop in large quantities annually. They have seven children of which i am the second born. I schooled at New Apostolic primary and junior high school where i sat and passed my junior high school final examination. After completing the Junior high school education, i started an okro farming which helped me to get money to enroll at the secondary school. My parents have been helpful and beared all my educational costs but these days things are really hard on their part because they encountered massive post harvest losses. This has affected my finances as student and as a very hardworking student, i devised some prudent strategies to support my parents in realising my educational dreams. I started looking for what i could do as a student to make money on campus and by the help of God i realised selling watches and footwears was the best i could do, a very lucrative on campus business.
I am a trainee nurse and a hardworking, determined and intelligent young entrepreneur who sells watches and footwears to my mates. The demand for this materials are high because every nursing trainee has to get a watch expecially the chest ones and a decent footwear for class and clinical/ practical sessions. I started operating with a small money but through perseverance the business has risen.

My Business

I sell watches and footwears to my fellow students/mates expecially those from less privileged homes who cannot afford the high cost of expensive watches and footwears. I chose to do this business because i realised it is the only lucrative business that can get me enough profit to cater for my educational costs. At the nursing training college every student must have a chest watch, a nice and decent shoes for classes and clinical/ practical sessions which makes the demands for my goods increases on daily basis.I get enough profits from selling these products and i hope the loan will help me get more goods to sell and servd my customers well. 500 dollars worth of goods for watches can fetch me a revenue range from 300 - 400 dollars and the same cost worth of goods of footwears could fetch me even more.
I reinvest all my profits in the business and also use part of it to cater for my educational expenses notably the payment of my tuition fees and accommodation.

Loan Proposal

My business is selling watches and footwears on campus. The sales of these products is a very good business and it generates more profits which I use to procure more of the products to resell and make more revenue.
I need about 1000 dollars to get hold of more goods so that i could resell and make more revenue out of them and keep the business in good shape. The loan when granted will help me to expand my business so that i could generate more profit to pay for my educational cost notably, the payment of my tuition and accommodation fees so that i can concentrate fully on my studies and avoid any problems associated with non-payment of school fees.
The loan when granted will double my daily earnings and give me more profit which will be used to clear the loan within the earliest possible time so that i will get another one in due time.
Below is how the loan amount would be put to use:
Watches for men: 300 dollars,
watches for women : 200 dollars.
Footwears for both men and women: 500 dollars.
