About Me

I studied accounts and got employed in an audit firm in the year 1990. worked there for 2 years and then moved on to manufacturing firm, hotel industry and service industry for 14 years. while working in these companies I always found myself involved in a lot of new start ups within the organizations which gave me a lot of insights in how to start my own business.

My Business

I decided to go it alone in 2004 by opening a cyber / PlayStation centre and also do part time accounts/bookkeeping for companies that cannot afford full-time accountants.
my major expenses include rent, repairs of the computers, PlayStations and printers, electricity and transport.
this means that most of the profits go back into reinvestment in the business. major challenges include frequent power disruptions and pilferage by both assistant and customers

Project Proposal

The funds raised will be used in buying items for resale in order to make profit. The items include milk, eggs, sugar, flour, tea leaves and cooking oil. They will be used to make tea, chapatis, and scrambled eggs for sale. These items will be purchased continuously during the day as they get finished, from sale proceeds. At the end of the day some of the profit made from turning over these items will be used to repay the loan amount.
It will therefore be possible to make weekly payments towards the loan given.

The loan funds helped me purchase a toner for my photocopying machine. This enabled me to work and increase my customer base and later on employed one person to man the photocopier.
