About Me

My names are Sammy Gathura Ihugo. I am a Kenyan aged 59 born in Kiambu in central Kenya. I am married and have three children. Joined school in 1969.
joined nursery school in 1969.
I sat for C.P.E in 1977 and was lucky to join Mwenje Mixed Sec.School 1978 later Sat for my KCSE exam in 1981 . I didn't manage to join Highschool due to financial constraints and also as a first born in the family of 8 others were still waiting on their fate towards education. I there fore was compelled to forward to see the deadlights ahead for my future endeavors. I therefore took off home to Naivasha in central Kenya and luckily with a hand from an uncle who lived there ,I managed to get a job in one of the Hotels as a casual. I worked hard and by the grace of God I was permanently employed though I never survived long . I struggled with life and until 2006 I managed to by a plot and build my own house and in the near by location started a small retail shop which has been of great help bring up the family and restock my business.

My Business

I have a retail shop located in Kiambu town central Kenya close to where I reside with my family.. The commodities I sell are food stuffs among other things which are very useful for day to day life of the common mwananchi(man).This has helped hechothbusiness due to passion me providing services to the community which was my passion even today though it has not been simple with changes in the economy of the country. I serve as a servant leader in one of the churches where I reside with my family. This gift started when I was a young child in Sunday school classes and continued even as I excelled in secondary school education Where I was chosen as a Christian Union chair and eventually became the founder of a choir in the christian union which pulled up a big crowd increasing the number of members.

Loan Proposal

I propose to purchase food stuffs e.g.rice,maize flour, baking flour,sugar & boost my stock for beverage .It is my hope that this will help to increase my profit mergin and effect my services to my customers.I wish to thank my zidisha Loan lenders for continued support which has taken me to another level in business and raising my family as well as providing the best services to my client's. Most of these commodities cost 1$ except for a crate of beverage which is almost 6$ but fast moving in this season cause of hot sun during the day.The maize flour and sugar are common commodities in the life a common man.
