M y name is Robert kiptoo born in 6th december 1992 at kericho, i started my education in 1995 and completed my primary education in 2007 at Nyabondo primary school. i attended Nyabondo high school in 2008 and completed in 2011. I joined Egerton university in 2012 and completed in 2015. I am honest, hardworking and self reliable citizen. I love farming because its a self employing activity that generate income, can create other job opportunities to others and easy to start. This is an interesting activity that promotes innovation and implementation of farm ideas.
When i finished campus studies i look for employment but i was not able to get so i decided to venture into farming. I lacked starting capital so i had to borrow from my parent. My projected cost is ks 10000 and i can only raise ks 5000 for my first start. I intend to expand and to plant 3acres of white maize from currently 2acres. This means that my production will increase, the business expand and therefore i have to employ some people to assist me in running the business. I will sell my products to the surrounding community and also to neighboring schools. I therefore apply for this loan to help me raise the remaining ks 5000 to buy farm inputs for the January season
I request the loan to help me buy farm inputs: 25kgs of fertilizer at a cost of ks 800 and the remaining 200 to buy maize seeds. This activity will benefit me on the first instant since i will have create a self employing activity so i will be earning in come, when the business expand i will employ other people mostly youths and the farm produce i will sell to the neighboring communities for sustaining their basic needs and also i will supply to the neighboring schools.
