About Me

It's been 4 years now. i recently turned 27yrs old. I was able to save enough money but i decided to change the course to sports management because i recently started working at Decathlon Nairobi on a part time basis as a sport leader.
I have been balancing work and salon business quite well.
I was able to keep it running thanks to You zidisha team.
I am also part of Kibera angels foundation that works to change lives of the unprivileged in kibera through sports.

My Business

It has been a while since i last requested for a loan. The salon is doing great thanks to zidisha. We now have 5 employees and we are thinking of relocating to bigger space.

I also partnered with a friend of mine to reopen the cafe i had started off.  We had to close up because the rental container we were using was placed on a leased land and the landlord wanted to build on his land.

Loan Proposal

The month of october has been a tricky for the cafe. I want my customers to start eating at the cafe therefore i will make counters and seats. I will also buy a sack of potatoes and wheat flour and cooking oil to replenish my stock and be able to hire an employee before the end of this month.
A sack of potatoes ksh 3200
Wheat flour(half a dozen) ksh1500
Cooking oil 5 ltrs ksh 650
A board for the counter 3000 at the hardware.

Hello Elizabeth,I was having issues with my phone, apparently the screen cracked and lost it's sensory touch. That was 2weeks ago. I didn't get your call. So sorry for that.

From the first loan for the salon and my other savings i was able to start a small cafe that prepares fries, tea, mahamri and chapati. The cafe has been in operation from July 2016,i was able to pay a licensing fee of ksh 6,000,public health certificate ksh 4,500. I was also able to make a food warmer for ksh 5,600. I am currently working at the cafe full time,i have not been able to employ anyone. I have been unable to set up seats and counter as eating space due to lack of funds. I would like your financial assistance so that i can set up the eating space.

The most important is the board for the counter which is ksh 3000
A sack of potatoes ksh 3200
    Wheat flour(half a dozen) ksh1500
Cooking oil 5 ltrs ksh 650
With your support i can be able to cater for the labour charges for making the counter and a bench.

The business is growing thanks to your support.
i was able to hire someone to work as a barber after procuring a small barber chair, sterilizer and clippers. i was able to buy a surround system too. i was able to buy a foot spa device,a UV Nail dryer,Pedi trolley to be used for manicures and pedicures.
i am looking forward to expanding the business so that i may be able to add a massage bed, afacial steamer, facial scrubbers and an up dated shampoo unit.
    thanks again for the support.

Its the rainy season in kenya. My shop got flooded and most of my machinery got destroyed, this has been a big setback for me. I have been working on repairing the machines and when i get back to my feet i will pay the exact amount agreed upon before.
