About Me

My name is Miss Toure Kadiatou. I was born and raised in Bobo Dioulasso. I come from a family of thirteen children—seven girls and six boys. My father passed away a few years ago. After elementary and high school, I quickly learned to turn five francs into ten francs; it's an expression we like to say here to people who work tirelessly to improve their situation. I learned about Zidisha from a friend and I would like a helping hand to boost my business.

My Business

My business is wholesaling cabbages, tomatoes, and onions. I have four years of experience in this field. My biggest challenge is finding efficient support especially within my country's microfinance sector. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the lenders and members of Zidisha who help entrepreneurs across the world and particularly those in Africa. I came here thanks to a friend and I strongly hope that this initiative continues. I promise to be up to date in regards to the loans that I receive from here. I travel to Abidjan, Ivory Coast once a month with my merchandise of cabbage, tomatoes, and onions. Please know that wholesale buying and selling prices are not standard and that prices drop when these vegetables are in season. But generally December, January, and February are the best period for tomatoes and cabbage. I pay 3,000 francs for a case of tomatoes and resell it in Abidjan for 10,000 francs, for a profit of 7,000 francs. I buy a bag of cabbage for 5,000 francs in Bobo sell it for 12,500 francs in Abidjan. A 17,500 franc bag of onions is sold for 22,500. As you can see, it is a very profitable business that needs to increase its volume of activity. I thank you very much and I hope my business will attract your attention.

Loan Proposal

The bag of cabbage is paid at $ 10.20 USD Bobo and sold at $ 25.51 USD in Abidjan. The onion bag is paid at $ 35.72 USD and sold at $ 45.92 USD. Finally you will agree with me that this is a good and profitable business that requires capacity building. Thank you very much and I hope my work will draw your attention.

About Me

My Business
