About Me

I am Salim Nyamawi from Kwale County (Kinango Sub-county), currently 24 years. I went to Fuleye Primary School then to Kwale High school and scored B+. I joined Maseno university and studied BSc in Public Health with IT this is where I learned Entrepreneurship and I was so much impressed in that I developed several business Ideas which at fourth year I implemented or ventured to one of the best business which I liked (Agriculture) . I am an entrepreneur with various business Ideas while the major one is already implemented. Unfortunately fund has been a great problem to me in order to start my various business Ideas. Here I am at Zidisha to help me achieve my goals through kind request for the loan to help my main business thrive as well as me become a role model in the community.

My Business

I developed a agricultural farm after conducting a market research at my area (Samburu). The business I ventured in concentrate with growing and supplying vegetables such as Sukumawiki, spinach, Okra, Managu, Tomatoes, Brinjal (Egg plant) and some other indigenous vegetables. As well I wish to set up poultry houses where I will rear Chicken (Kienyeji and Improved Kienyeji), Guinea fowl, Turkey, Ducks, Geese etc. The business majorly deals with supply of vegetables to customers (community, schools, hotels) and poultry products such as Eggs and Meat. For the poultry production I bought a 48 capacity automatic incubator which is multipurpose to increase my poultry production. Funds from zidisha once given will be accounted or used in increasing the I developed a agricultural farm after conducting a market research at my area (Samburu). The major vision of my Agricultural Farm is to grow and supply my products locally, countrywide and globally. Products are supplied to the customers after making some orders. I know with Zidisha fund support my vision will be soon achieved. Thank you to both crops and poultry. During my long holidays I have been involving myself with various income activities such as employed in schools to teach and get money, Voters registration, working in the community with some NGOs such as KWAHO, TUMIKIA and Ministry of Health. It is through savings from these various income activities that I partially invested in this business.
