I am the second-born in a family of seven. We lost my mother when I was five years old. I've studied to this point with lots of problems, such that I'll pay my school fees on my own whenever my dad is unable to do so. He works as an electrician, but in a rural area where some parts don't have electricity yet. He gets numerous problems in paying school fees for all of us. Fortunately, I'm able to raise some of it from my online freelancing job, making about $20 per day. I'm the only one well-conversed with technology in my family. I'm talented in designing and have made good use of it. My dad also depends on me to help the family as a whole. I'm currently studying computing in Kiambu polytechnic, third year. However, I'm at home because I am yet to complete my school fee balance.
I usually use the school Wi-Fi network to do my freelancing job, as a web designer. I have designed many websites, and can design more as long as I have reliable Internet connection. Once I get this money, I'll complete my school fee balance and complete my studies. I want to complete my studies so that I can pursue computer science in university. Back at school, I'll use my part-time web design job to earn money that'll pay for this loan. I want to make good use of this Zidisha opportunity, and help others where I can.
Once Zidisha deducts the required charges, I'll use the remaining money ($55 equivalent to 6,000 Kenyan Shillings) to clear my school fees and get back to school. I'll do my part-time job in website designing, which I usually do from 3 p.m to 11 p.m, to pay back the loan. I work for what sustains me in school and I'm sure I'll make even what is required to pay the loan. I am targeting to pay it within 4 weeks so that I can count on Zidisha to offer me a better loan in case I have problems anytime later.
