About Me

My name is Antony Ndegwa of Eldoret town, Uasin-Gishu County, Munyaka Estate in Kenya. I am 41 years old, married with three daughters aged between 6 and 13. I am a welder fitter by profession with a diploma in welding and fitting work from R.V.T.T.I. Eldoret. I also have a certificate in tailoring and knitting work. I have been in this business for more than 10 years working diligently and focusing on my business success. My goal is to one day have a factory of my own and create employment opportunity in my county, especially for the youth who are suffering from unemployment.

My Business

My business is making school uniforms and knitting. I sell my products wholesale. This business is good because school uniforms in Kenya are compulsory. I normally buy the material of high quality and affordable price at a local factory and also from Nairobi. This allows me to sell my products at a competitive price within the county at wholesale price. I work with youth with special needs. I train them in knitting and tailoring. My center is registered under the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Development as a self help group in a name faith of good hope (FAGOHO). This year, 2016, we have had 15 trainees doing tailoring and knitting.

Loan Proposal

I am happy that I finished my second loan very easily making a profit of 30%. I request for a loan with which I am intending to meet my school uniform order for second term use. 70% will be used for buying of school uniform materials and fittings. 20% will be used for recurrent expenditures and 10% for repairs and refurbishing of machines. I am hoping and believing to pay back my loan full in time, making a profit of about 40%.

Antony Gitonga

    Hi Antony,
Remember you can change your repayments to a lower amount by contacting [email protected] . It is better to make small payments rather then none at all in order to be able to borrow from Zidisha in the future. Regards, Margaret
