About Me

I am a kamba by tribe and come from Machakos County. I attended Katoloni Primary/
Seconday for both my primary and secondary education. I overcome hardship
when I completed my 'O' Level and came to Nairobi and got a job immediately
as I could feed my self and save some money which later I used to start my
Charcoal business. Machakos land is unique as it is very fertile. Their culture
is quite different from other culture because before you marry a girl you
need to give to the father-in-law some goats.

My Business

I sell charcoal and the service I provide is to sell at wholesale price while
they are still in the sacks. Charcoal are in demand because near where
I reside there is a slum near by and the use charcoal instead of paraffin.
I choose this kind of business due to financial constraints. They typical costs and
revenue involved was about US$20.00

I use the profit to educate my children and reinvest in the growing the business.
When I get a loan from Zidisha I want to sell paraffin at wholesale price
buy in large quantities.

Loan Proposal

I will buy a bale of Ladies jeans which will cost US$79.00 Kshs. 8,000.00. This will benefit me financially to be able to repay the loan, reinvest and also pay school fees
for my children. I expect a profit of 50% or if things work well 70%.
