I was born in Keroka to a family of Mr and Mrs Ongeri,we were 10 children and my father had three wives.I attended Kisii primary school then graduated and joined Kenyenya Mixed Sec. School. My primary school education was paid for by my father but the secondary school education i received was after my father died and left me in primary and my eldest brother helped me by selling his own piece of land inherited from my father,he later died after i joined Form 1 and i and my brothers and sisters relied on well wishers who would attend the SDA church whos land my father had donated.I dropped out after finishing my secondary education and started selling clothes to make a living to date.I am married to Jack Wekesa ,a loving man who is also a clothes retailer and we have one beautiful daughter.
I buy clothes from Uganda and Nairobi, buying wholesale bundles at around 80$ every 5 months then i resell them either to fellow traders or sell them myself on the market and usually make around 10$ every month in profit.I use this to help pay for my small sisters school fees as she is the only one at home and is now in secondary school.I like my business especially since women do not fail to buy clothes so every single day i make a sale.
I will buy 100 ladies items, clothes such as huggers, underwear, skirts and trouser suits at 400$ and then sell them at approximately 4$ each.I will be able to put the profit into buying more ladies and also mens clothings such as trousers, vests and shoes too.As my profit increases i will be able to earn enough to be able to pay fees for my baby girl who is to join baby class soon.
