About Me

My name is Caren Cheruiyot from Roret village in the outskirts of Nakuru town in Nakuru county. I am 28 years old, married to Cosmas Langat and blessed with with two children.
I ama graduate of a diploma course in Purchase and supplies from Rift valley institute of science and technology but have never been employed. I am also a farmer and spend most of my time managing our small vegetable farm that is a source of income and food for our family.
My hobbies are taking nature walks and watching Television.

My Business

We have a small farm in Roret village where we cultivate mostly vegetables especially kales and cabbages. It is an important source of income and food for the family. I sell them both on wholesale and retail. My main customers are the grocery owners within the estate and the neighboring estates.
I plant both kaels and cabbages in a continous cycle throughout the year and currently plan to expand and even introduce indigenous vegetable whose demand is growing fast.

Loan Proposal

To maintain the cycle and keep my customers happy, I always do timely planting based on market demand. Currently, I am planning to plant the cabbages soon then kales towards the end of next month.
Therefore, I will use the loan to buy ready seedlings and fertilizerfor planting during the first week of February.
The early planting will enable me take advatage of the market will improve revenue that will go repaying the loan and savings for other investments in and off the farm- such as introducing indeginous vegetables.
