Am a Kenyan called Sella Aoko and am 43yrs of age. I am married and I have a daughter and a son. Currently am holding a diploma certificate in social work and community development and I am based in Budalangi sub county, Busia county, Kenya. I like making friends and helping the needy and the less fortunate in the society. Am a Christian by Faith.
I am currently the chairperson of uwezo fund in my sub county and also a TOT of table banking groups. I have managed to change lives of people in my community and my vision is to make my people be self employed by the year 2030.
The main purpose of joining Zidisha, is that am a business lady and I engage in different businesses ranging from computer services to selling of second hand clothes.
I would like the Zidisha team to help me raise funds to expand my second hand clothes business as I can foresee a bright future in that venture in my locality. With the formation of county governments, and several investors coming to our region, many people are getting empowered financially and hence the power to purchase. Furthermore, we entering a new season of festivities which begins from August to December and many people are tempted to buy fashionable attire for various occasions. I therefore need some money to help expand my clothes stand in the market place. Some of the money will be used to purchase wood, iron sheets etc for expanding the structure that I use as a clothe stand for selling my ware.
I will use also some of the money to buy stock for my business which will involve traveling from Busia to Kampala and Nairobi to make a selection of the latest arrivals in the market.
This means that most of the cash i receive will go into transport and purchasing inventory for my business.
Therefore a loan from Zidisha will come in handy for me at this moment.
Thanking you in anticipation.
