About Me
I am a hardworking lady and a mother of one whom like many Kenyans has found it hard to secure a job despite my qualifications, I have a certificate in business management from Kenya college of Accountacy which has helped me a lot to get through my current phase of unemployment. Unemployment has not stopped me from working hard to attain my goals and now with zidisha coupled with zidisha success stories I have witnessed with two of my friends, my goals will surely be realized. The quest for a better life has made me realize employment is not the only avenue to success, that’s why I have since started a beauty/cosmetics business.
My Business
Thanks to Zidisha, I have moved from hawking products to establishing a business premises just outside the university grounds. Customers (Mainly campus students) are able to get me at any time during working hours. I buy in wholesale essentials like vests, Bras, Perfumes, Socks, earings, etc from wholesalers and sell piece by piece to locals at a very good profits. Business was good when i was hawking but it is even better after acquiring a shop it has realy grown. Soon I will replicate the same in several campuses.
Loan Proposal
After getting a premise for my business, I now need to set up wooden and glass display shelves which will go a long way in holding business stock in an orderly manner. I just moved into my new business premise and i am currently using a table and a metallic grill for my display purpose which is not the best method.
Part of the loan I will also use to buy more stock plus hire a sign-writer to paint my business name on the face of my business premises which will make it more visible.
