About Me

Am a 30 year old single parent of one awesome boy. My home area is Farmers youth, approximately 7kms from Bomet town in Bomet County. Am a second born in a family of two. My parents are open minded individuals who have always emphasized the importance of independence in my brother and me. This support has seen me start and run a number of successful businesses. Currently i run a green grocery at Bomet town. I recently got an opportunity to open an outlet at Kasarani in Nairobi area. This is where i intend to invest the loan i hope to get from you. I have been saving the proceeds from my Bomet branch. These savings will boost the loan il get from you. I went to Kipsigis girls secondary school before joining Moi university from i where i currently pursue a Diploma in pharmacy.

My Business

I currently run a number of green grocery business outlets in Nakuru and Bomet. i basically deal with all types of vegetables, milk and pastries. My interests to enter this business was influenced by the fact that the food industry attracts a steady demand that is ever rising. The fact that a big percentage of the people in towns belong in the middle class means that the demand for common foodstuffs like vegetables, milk, snacks and bread will always arise. this is because this class cannot afford to eat in restaurants always. Competition is rife in this sector and am alive t the fact that i need to be diligent in order to win the customer loyalty. consequently, my business has strived to meet the needs of customers. For instance, i have made a deliberate move to know the different needs of my customers and what foodstuffs they will require on the different days of the week. I dont only cut their vegetables but i have employed people to call and take the orders of my everyday clients. i also deliver the foodstuff to the customer door steps. This has allowed me to earn the trust and loyalty of my customers. I also ensure that i stock only the fresh produce in my outlets at all times at competitive market prices. This has seen me keep the competition at bay. The risks and challenges that i face are usually unreliable supplies and the ever rising license fees. I intend to use this loan to open atleast two outlets in Nairobi, Kasarani and Kahawa area. I will repay the loan from the proceeds from my other outlets in Nakuru and Bomet.

Loan Proposal

This loan will go towards renting a shopping space for the first month. The monthly rent is $90. i have already saved enough to buy my first stock. My savings amounts to $230. If it was possible, i would have comfortably taken and serviced a loan of $150. All the same, $100 will go along way in giving me my third fresh produce shop in total and the first in Nairobi. This venture will eventually employ one deserving Kenyan in the next 2 months which is a good thing because there are many unemployed people around. Thanks for your help in advance.
