About Me

My name is Roger Asamoah Brobbey. I was born in Jachie, Ashanti region of Ghana. Jachie is a town along the Lake Bosomtwe the only natural lake in Ghana and a very popular recreational area in Ashanti region and Ghana. The main activity in my town is fishing for the lake is very helpful to my people but farming and tourism are also not left behind. I was born in a family of ten and I am the seventh born.

I went for primary, secondary, and tertiary school and then started a petty trading business in Kumasi. After some few years in this business, I was able to raise about $670 and decided to buy tools and equipment to start something I liked doing most back on campus - barbering (Hair cut).

My Business

I am currently running a barbering shop in Kumasi near the Polytechnic Campus. I chose the location because there are a lot of male students in this institution who are always looking to shave their hair regularly. The services offered include haircut, hair dye, and other shaving services. I like my business because it is a routine business where people shave their hairs between 1 and 2 weeks’ interval and this the demand for the service higher.

I make an average gross revenue of $460 and $290 averagely as my net revenue monthly. My expenditure includes electricity bill, rent, and other indirect expenses associated with this business.

Loan Proposal

I will use the money to buy two (2) shaving machines $100 - $150 to improve the effectiveness of my work.

This will help me work faster and serve my customers appropriately and as am able to serve more customers my revenue will also increase accordingly.
