i am an orphan brought up with my uncle in who tried his best to provide for our basic need but due to life challenges and hardship as we were nine children including her family members he was unable to cater for all of us and this made me to drop out of school and looked for casual labours in construction site which i earned a living from it that i helped my uncle to provide for the family given that i was the first born in our family.since this jobs were not permanent and i would not get it daily ,i had to look for an alternative to earn more income so that our family does not lack basic needs.i took a small capital of my wage to start a small business of selling sugarcane which i started with $5 with a borrowed wheelbarrow from my friend and move through the busy streets in my area to sell them at a minimum of $0.1 per piece.as my profit increased i was able to buy my own cart and increase my stock as the demand was high.i like playing football, listening to music and chanting with friends.
my business is to sell sugarcane which i operate from one place to another with my cart.this was the simplest business i could start with my small capital given the hardship i was going through.when i started i only used $5 but for now i buy sugarcane worthy $30 daily and make a profit of over 50%. one full sugarcane cost $0.5 and since i sell it in small pieces that could earn me over $1.through this,i have been able to earn a good profit that i can now provide for my family needs ,pay for brothers and sisters school fees and house rent.
am planning to built a permanent shelter for my business to expand my business where i will have to employ a youth there and this will make my business to earn more profit.now i will use my loan of $5 to buy nails for the building purpose of the shelter.thank you so much for this opportunity.
