Am Robert Wanjala from Nairobi zima man,am 34 years old,i never went to school because i had no parents.
I was dumped by parents because i was lame both legs and my parents ware ashamed of giving birth to a child who could not walk so they decided to abandon me while i was young
i grew up in the hands of a poor old lady who could not pay my school fees.
Like any anther disabled and non educated person in my country, the only work i could do was to learn how to mend people's shoes to earn a living
From there i have learn to mend shoes and to produce shoes localy with my one sowing machine.
I go to church during free time
i also do counsel the disabled people who think they have no future again
I do mend shoes, all types of shoes both open and close,I also saw shoes with my sawing machine both closed and open mainly school children shoes.
I did this work because in my country mending shoes is work for disabled people,
When any one buys shoes and it gets toned,i have to saw it,i also do cleaning and polishing them.so i have to make money daily
my business is now 10000 shillings out of that i invest back by buying materials, pay rent for my business small room, buy my own house rent, pay school fees for my two children and feed my family for am married.
I want to buy a new sawing new machine so that i can employ two people who can help me to do this work for its increasing
The cost for the machine is 25000 shillings but when i get this loan,i will add on some money and have the machine
I believe after that the total amount will come to 30000 shillings per month and the profit will be 10000 shillings per month
