About Me

I am Francis from the Kikuyu, which is also known as the Central Highlands. I have completed my O-level education as well as a course in information technology (ICT sector) in 2011 where I received my advanced diploma.

Due to the challenges in finding employment, I decided to pursue my passion in business by selling shoes (mostly ladies shoes). I use the earnings from the business for further growth and for my daily bread. On my free time, I choose to mentor youths and advise them on how to conquer life's challenges.

My Business

I have a business called Frajy Fashions, which sells ladies shoes and saddles. The demand has been strong because we sell unique, high quality footwear at great prices. We strive to be the best in the market. Another advantage we have against our competitors is that we have a 1 or 2 day return policy after the date of purchase if the customer is unsatisfied with our products. This is a key differentiator that provides an advantage against our competitors.

The business is profitable as we try to achieve at least a 20 percent margin on every item we sell. On a monthly basis, we incur costs amounting to $130 on sales of $450 in a good month. Typically, we achieve profit from $100 to $150. But, I believe we have significant potential to grow if we are able to get more capital.

Loan Proposal

I would like to expand the working area of our shop by doing some redesign. In order to do so, I need some cardboard, wood frames, nails, hangers and grills. When added together, the approximate amount is $100.

Cardboard - $14
Wood frame - $15
Nails - $5
Hangers - $6
Grill - $10
Partitioning - $20
Labor - $25

This will also allow me to hire another salesperson and generate more income for my business.

Thank you in advance.
