About Me

I am a Father of two. My wife's name is Rahab Wairimu, my first born's name Rayan and Fahima. I live in Mtwapa and work here as well. I worked as a Cyber attendant and Technician for 4 years then I believed in starting my own business. I started a small cyber cafe in Majengo a town near Mtwapa but due to lack of fanancial backup, I could not maintain the shop. I returned to Mtwapa and joined a Mobile phone technician and gain alot of experience. I had completed my primary, secondary and college studies and I specialized my career in ICT. I have 8years experience in dealing with computer repairs, maintenance and support. I had recently started my own small mobile phones/Computer repair shop when I get my own daily bread. There are alot to be done at the moment and I can not do it on my own thats why I need a helping hand to accomplish my dreams. Some of the things I buy as stock are phones accessories and parts as well as computer accessories and fix when to be fixed and repair where to repair.

My Business

My business is a small business that needs to be assisted for it to grow. I believe in honesty and customer care as my principle for success. I deal with repair of mobile phones and Computers since ICT is a trending field that needs competitive individuals. I find it to be addictive and profitable field. Since kenya has decided to go digital, I believe I will have alot of work to do. I normally get approximately Ksh, 30,000/- to 35,000/- per month. My monthly rent is Ksh 10,000/- Electricity bill Ksh. 5,000/- Internet connectivity Ksh, 3,000/- Rent for my home is Ksh 5,000 inclusive of water and Electricity the rest I buy food and any request equipment for my work.

Loan Proposal

Since I am a Computer/Mobile Phone repair Technician trying to expend my business, I had been looking for funds to help me expand my business step by step. I have come to realize that most of the businesses do not grow without external force that is for example loans from different organizations such as Banks, Micro finance Institutions etc.
I am intending to expand my business by buying more accessories and spare parts for phones so that I can get more profit than buying the same from Mombasa town on daily basis. According to my work schedule, I have to wake up early in the morning on daily basis and go to Mombasa Town to buy Mobile phone parts to fix to various phones left the day before. This has become time consuming and some customers can not leave their phones behind and as a result losing business. I shall utilize my first loan in buying most essential spare parts that are moving fast so that I can manage to repay the loan in a shortest period and apply for the next allowed amount.

The reason for my reschedule my loan payment is due to the fact that my wife has been sick and the bill I incurred was huge. I had to sell some of my business properties to settle the bill. I am currently trying to recover my financial stability and by the date I had agreed to pay I am sure that I shall be in a position to stand by my feet and pay without any hesitation

I would like to postpone my payment to 10th July 2010. My reason is that I have recently unlocked several phones for my client and proposed to sell them to me at a cheaper price and then I sell them a my own price. I believe by doing so I would make a good profit out of it. Thats why I kindly request for payment postponement. I humbly believe my request will be accepted.

Let me start my comment with a word of gratitude towards the fund I received from Zidisha Organization. I sincerely do appreciate the effort provided by lenders who are willing to find poverty around the world. I thank Zidisha for the Idea that they came up with. I have received my first Loan which I shall utilize in increasing my shop stock and gradually leading to my growth in business. My main aim is to improve my business to the next level and I trust that my hardwork and total co-operation with Zidisha I can make it happen. Thanks alot.

Cool Job! - Whats the most common phone models you receive to repair in Mtwapa? Nokia****? i did repair some phones myself once. Let me ask, how many phones did you repair already in all this time and how many screens did break during it by mistake? And whats the price for example for one hour of your work or to replace a screen? You got internet & email in your shop? Did you ever try to repair boards of phones with soldering gun too? Good luck!

      Dear friend,
I am excited to hear that you dealt with phones and you know exactly whats going on in this field. The type of common phones that I usually deal with are Nokia, Samsung, LG, Huawei, ZTE, IPHONES, MOTOROLA and many more. I do phone unlock, flash and code reset. I also do hardware and indeed in hardware sometimes things get a little bit messy. I have repair uncountable phones by now and gained alot of experience. I have broken several screen and replaced them but this is normal in dealing with phones. In terms of payment, every phone has its own price depending on the technical difficulty it has. Normally I charge phone as per fault not per hour. I have done soldering on phones for example there are some mouthpiece that need to be soldered, some screens needs soldered for fix and many more soldering jobs. My boxes that I use are MXBOX, MTBOX, UFS, Z3X, FURIOUS GOLD, GPG DRAGON. I hope this information could be useful towards understanding my position. I hope to hear from you soon.
