About Me

my names are Patrick Agulo Otieno.Iam a half cast of a luo and a kikuyu. My dad is a luo and my mother is a kikuyu.Iam very fluent in kiswahili and this is an advantage to me since i come from a cosmopolitan village Tarbot.Iam married to a Kalenjin. In kenya we have forty two tribes. My idea of getting married to a kalenjin was prompted by the ethnic violence that rocked our area in 2007-2008 soon after the general elections. My desire is to create bonds with all communities in our area so that such violence does not erupt again.Iam blessed with one son by he Name DENNIS OTIENO.I fellowship with a church whose overall bishop is prophet DR Awuor.Iam about 1.3 metres in height. i cleared standard eight but since my parents could not afford to take me to a secondary school due to poverty.

My Business

My business is located near the same place that i reside in.My business entails selling small bans locally called (kaa ngumu) and "mandazi" to local shops within Rongai.Within a day i sell more than three crates to the local shops who later sell the bans and 'mandazi' to their customers.I prefer my business since it is able to sustain my family and have savings for my future savings. My customers prefer my products because they are generally cheap,One ban or " ndazi" goes for sh4 on wholesale. The local whole salers also prefer my products because of high standards of cleanliness that I maintain .Iam also customer friendly and do not like annoying them for they are the only source of my daily living. One of the main challenges that I encounter is lack of a better means of transporting my products to the market. The only means that I can afford is a bicycle and since my buyers are found far from my small hotel I have to ride for many kilometres and thefore at the end of the day Iam too tired. Some of my customers at times delay in paying back for the products they have taken from my business. If zidisha favour me with a loan ,I will buy a motorcycle that will easen my transport. The motorcycle will also help me venture in the boda boda industry of trasnporting passsengers from one area to another especially during my free time.I also have a small hotel that i sell bans and mandazi as well as tea to the locals from my village. I like my job and i always make sure that by five o'clock in the morning iam awake and attending to it

Loan Proposal

since the loan is small intend to buy 5 bails of wheat @ 1500 per bail on wholesale. This totals ksh 7500.This means i will be spared some time before i finally go to buy much more wheat flour for my commercial use. From my savings I will buy 20 litres cooking fat for ksh 3400.From the flour and cooking fat and the five bails i expect to make good profit.part of the profit will go towards repaying the loan and the balance will be saved for my future use
