I am Maureen Njeri Mungai a married woman with two children, a boy and a girl . I live in free area estate , near the lake nakuru tourism attraction site. Free area is popularly known for tourism attraction. I am a business lady with a diploma in Theology which i attained in 1999 at Ukambani Bible Collenge, I started a business so as to provide basic needs for my family and so being not much dependent on my husband. I purchase clothes and some footwear from the earnings that I get to add stock in my business and enable it keep running.
My business is a single partnership boutique. I buy and sell both (mitumba) and new clothes since both are of high demand. Their demand is high because they are of good quality and affordable to anyone. Customers prefer my business because of the availability of their preferences and i relate well with them and I also offer after sale services like transport if needed. The risk may arise when there is sudden change in climate which may contradict with the current stock but I try to adjust to it by adding new stock which corresponds with it. Due to availability of ready market I manage to get a profit of 20,000 ksh. this is after deducting the monthly costs such as rent, power bill and some minor ones Ie revenue. I try to make sure that my business is running and no single day that I have ran out of stock. and this has been one of the trick i use to survive in the tough competition available.
