My Name is Beatrice Chalangat.I was born and raised in the rift valley region of Kenya.I was lucky to have a decent education both at the primary and secondary level. While pursuing my college education at the coast is when I discovered my entrepreneurial side and thats when the grocery business idea was conceived.Having attained accreditation as a teacher,it was challenging to joggle between teaching and trying to put my business idea into practice. It was then that I focused entirely on my business, risking everything to have it up and running. The hospitality by the coastal inhabitants is overwhelming and that is what makes a unique and condusive environment for doing business.
I wish to state that I used part of my profit to do some farming. So far I have about one acre of maize plantation(as indicated in the photo I posted )I used my returns to purchase seedlings and fertilizer for my farm.I intend to use the loan to hire people in my small farm.Thank you and God bless Zidisha.
Happy new year2019 to you all.I will use the loan to prepare my land for this planting season.Thankyou Zidisha for believing in me.
If my loan is funded,I will introduce dairy and poultry products in small amounts so as to create a one-stop shop for my grocery customers who wish to buy fresh farm produce under one roof. This will expand my customer base ,increase my sales and therefore give me an opportunity to gradually increase the input of the new products I introduced. An increase in sales translates to increase in profits.
