About Me

My name is Paul Macharia Njogu. I was born in a family of seven children. My parents were not well up and were unable to raise us in a comfortable environment. We could hardly raise school fees and most of the time i had to go to school with partial uniform mixed with home clothes. We lived in abject poverty.

Somehow my father managed to struggle until i made it to the university. I had to go without food and other life necessities since i had to use some of the government loan to pay for my fees. It became worse after the government stopped partial sponsorship when i was in third year.
I managed to educate my self in various I.T and business courses. I secured temporary jobs as a tutor in business colleges where i managed to have the best students in various exams. I achieved much in life but in 2007 post election violence i became an IDP (Internally Displace Person) from Eldoret where i was teaching in in a commercial college. I struggled so much in life, living on people's help, but in 2016 i was helped to set up a cyber business which i operate to date.

I live in Thika town in an estate known as Kiganjo which has people from almost all tribes of Kenya due to the industries that are located in the area. There is a high population of people. The place is hot and dry and businesses easily pick due to the high customer base mostly comprising of factory workers.
My eldest child who is a girl aged 13 wants to become a journalist when she grows up. I have twin sons aged 10 and one of them wants to become an engineer while the other wants to become a pilot.
I am currently a church elder in Redeemed Gospel Church in Kiganjo. I am also the youth patron, translator and church counselor.

I love reading news and researching on various fields. I also like graphic designing which i do in my pastime.

My Business

I am a computer expert. Formerly i have worked as a teacher in I.T and business subjects such as human resource management, marketing, I.T, economics, business communication, etc, in various institutions and colleges.
Currently i own and operate a cyber/I.T business in Kiganjo which deals in all IT related work such as web designing, computer repair and maintenance, photocopying, typesetting, printing, sale of stationery computer training, etc.
I also offer online services such as driving license renewals, K.R.A (Kenya Revenue Authority) PIN application, K.R.A returns, Land search, H.E.L.B application, Passport application, Visa application, good conduct application, business search and registration, motor vehicle search and registration.

These services are highly demanded because they are mandatory requirements in various institutions and government.

I chose this kind of business since it has been my passion since early in life. I do what i love and enjoy doing. I.T and training/teaching is part of me. I don't struggle to do it.
The typical costs include 3300 for rent, 500 for electricity, 1500 internet cost, 1000 stationery, and 1000 miscellaneous(all in KSHS.) Total revenue including costs range between 25,000 to 30,000 kshs.

I use my profits for my family's upkeep, school for my children, health insurance, land purchase savings, reinvestment in my business, etc.

Loan Proposal

This loan will assist me to acquire a smart phone which will help me to do online jobs at night from home. I will not need it for camera as previously intended since i was able to acquire a nikon 100 camera instead. Iam currently using this camera to do photo shooting and passports. Online jobs are well paying and this is expected to increase my revenues by over 25%. The phone is costing about 50 usd.
