About Me

My name is Pauline Wanjiku Nderi. I am the first born in a family of five. I was brought up in a village environment facing the common village life challenges both at home and in school. I went through primary school, secondary school and finally joined secretarial college.
I tried business but had a lot of financial challenges. The business was cut off after i went through post election violence in Kenya in the year 2007. My family was displaced after which we endured terrible hardships, having to depend on relatives and well wishers for our upkeep. My children and myself went through sickness and at some point we were admitted in hospital for close to a month. By God's grace we recovered.

I was supported by a friend Pastor to start Mandazi selling business and then later after i got some more help, i relocated to another town where i started a small shop which i am currently operating in a partition within the house in which i live.
The new town in which i live is cosmopolitan and has a very high population.
I love singing and i am a member of our church's praise and worship team

My Business

I sell various food and basic household items such as flour, sugar, sweets, salt, washing powder, tea leaves, tissue paper, rice, bread, mandazi, cakes, onions, tomatoes, etc.
These are daily basic needs for every family and therefore in high demand.
I love operating a shop since the goods sold in a shop are within human basic needs and will always be demanded. It is also in my passion.
Currently the cost of goods sold in my business range in the tune of Ksh.5,000 and the resultant sales in the tune of ksh. 9,000
I use my profits for food and reinvestment.

Loan Proposal

I will buy additional food and basic household items such as soda and long life milk.
the total cost of the two items is one thousand three hundred kenyan shilling that is 12.95 dollars.
It will be of grate use to me because i will use it for my personal use at home. my customers will be relieved from going far looking for the milk it will also increase my stock and a shelf in my shop which has been empty will be fully packed with milk.
I have grate expectation that my profit will increase to 60%.
