I am Bellah Jowi. I am the third born in a family of five. I enjoy starting small and seeing things grow.
I am a nurse by profession. I started my business due to insecurities in formal employment. With savings I had made in five months I managed to start off the business.
I run an MPESA shop and within the same shop I also sell sodas.
The location is at the bus stop where most people require money for transport and refreshments for their long journey.
I chose this kind of business because of the climate of the area and also the fact that it did not need a huge capital outlay.
I pay rent of Kshs. 5000/- , salary of 4500/- , electricity 500/- per month. After all expenses I am left with Kshs. 5000/- that I plough back into the business.
Looking at how my soda stocks has increased from the previous loans, I would like to now include a variety of juices. In addition to minute maid I also want to stock Afia and Quencher brands. This will go a long way in satisfying my customers needs. I also intend to stock biscuits and donuts.
