About Me

I am the second born in a family of three children. I am the only girl between two boys. Both my parents were primary school teachers. Life was good during my childhood as my parents could afford all our basic needs. Life only changed during my third year in secondary school when both my parents died .My died dad out of malaria and my mum succumbed to injuries after fatal accident a year later. I went to siginga priamry school and later joined St cilia girls secondary school.
After completing secondary education ,I went to Kisumu poltechnic where I trained in dress making and design. I did not have a capital to start my business and therefore worked as an assistant taillor for my aunt for a year as I saved for my own business. I saved $200 and got a Loan of $200 from my self help group and bought one sewing machine and paid for rent. I got a few business in the first month but I worked harder and delivered on time. After a few months my clientele base had expanded and I bough another sewing machine for my assistant. The business is now doing much better and I am grateful it gives me a reason to smile as I love it and it gives me my daily bread.
My child is now two years old. she is growing fast and I am doing my best to give her the best life can offer.
I love cooking and during my free time ,I do a lot of cooking and try different recipes, when not cooking,I am always knitting.

My Business

I provide new cloths for sale. I design and make cloths according to the clients needs and desires. The need for specific designs and unique colors propel the demand for my cloths .
I design cloths for weddings , school uniforms , office wear and casuals depending on the customers needs.
I chose the business because it was profitable and it fulfilled my desires of being a designer.
my monthly typical costs are $150 and my typical month revenues are $350 per month.
I use the profits to pay school fees for my last born brother, take care of my family and reinvest in the business.

Loan Proposal

Hello lenders. My electricity power bills have been soaring and have kept my cost of production too high as I can pay up to $80 per month just to keep my shop lighted and Iron my cloths .The electricity is also not reliable because there are always blackouts which make the jobs to delay hence inconveniencing customers.
Given the loan <I would buy a solar lamp that would be used in lighting the shop. The solar lamp is bought cheap and efficient and would add greater value to my business in terms of profitability and efficiency. Thank you
