About Me

My name is Samwel, 21 years old. I am a student at JKUAT university doing a course in business information technology. My childhood has not been that of a silver plate since it isn't easy living in a separated home in Mombasa .The culture in my town is so mind blowing since its more of the Swahili culture that includes beautiful leso attires but the negative side is the drug addiction facing the youths leading them into the life of crime .I managed to perform well in my highschool years and got a sponsor who made it possible for me to pursue a degree that will enable me uplift my home.I came to start my business when i read an article about Mark Cuba who worked hard when he was just 12 years old running his own business of selling gabage bags and this challenged me to start up my own business of selling school stationeries and I mostly sell to my colleagues.
My favourite hobby i would say is beatboxing.

My Business

As mentioned above, I sell stationery on a small scale to my fellow students and this helps me in getting some income which I use for my own upkeep. This supplements what my parents give me since I am still under their care.I chose this business because it needed little capital to start,it's flexible and on demand in my school.
The overall typical cost is around 90dollars for my next round of stock that will generate a revenue of around 50dollars as profit.I use the profit to add little stock and pay for the fare
I hope to keep doing this till I clear my course in 2 years time.
My next expansion would involve transforming my business to a printing business within the school premises for students and expand the stationery BUSINESS

Loan Proposal

I intend to use the loan to boost my current stock of programming books, calculators and venture into selling flashdisks and hard drives as requested by students
