I was born in a family of nine as a last born, not a well up parent but they managed to do their best for us to go up to high school. Did my high school on 2005, and since there were no money even for simple courses, i hustled as follows: shamba boy for 8months, small farmer for two years, masonry boy for two years, hawker for two years, scrap metal boy for an year among others.
By 2012, i was lucky to have my sister took a loan to have me join a Technical college taking an Information Communication Technology as a course.Graduated 2014 July and since getting a job without an experience , went back to be masonry boy for 3 monthly.
On mid Oct, i got a job in a Computer accessories shop where i was well exposed to technology and gained much experience. on July 2015, i opened 2m*2m stall for computer services . From Then to date, that what i do.
I deal with computer repair and accesories, Toner refill, Networking, CCtv installation, online services like NTSA, resell internet(ISP)
I will stock laptops ex UK, computer accessories like laptop spares, CCTV accessories and networking accessories like routers switches, LAN cables etc.
For every ex UK laptop i broke i usually get kes5,000, meaning if i had in my stock i could get more.
For every computer accessories minimum kes200. CCTV accessories minimum kes 500. Networking accessories like router minimum kes500. LAN cable minimum kes5 per meter
For me i have little impact from corona virus. Laptop are even requiring more repair due to more home usage. I am still providing internet services to those learning from home. people are still enquiringly and installing CCTV regularly.
