Geetings Yvonne, this is James again. I am glad you answered my letter. Yes try the food items. Let me know how you are doing and if the food items are selling. Display the items to be seen but don't forget to also mention the items to your customers because sometimes people see a display but really don't pay much attention to it. Besides, your customers are not use to seeing food items in your store. Can you think of any other fast selling and often needed food item? Anyway am praying for your business. Take care, write when you can, and of course, "Keep on keeping on". Let me know if the food items are selling. James

Greetings Yvonne, this is James, one of the lenders. I have 2 daughters in Kisumu. They also have their own businesses but their businesses are different. I commed you for helping your mum. I have been to Kenya 3 times, have many sons and daughters, families and friends all over Kenya. Anyway you sell kitchen items mostly. Since you sell kitchen items, do you think customers might buy a few food items from you while shopping for the kitchen items? Food items like, flour, oil (or cooking fat), sugar, salt, you know, basic things that are usually needed. You might stock a few items and see if they sell. Of course show and tell the customers about them. Make sure they are displayed to be easily seen. Good luck. Write soon, and take care. "Keep on keeping on" James
