About Me

My is Martin Otieno I live in Kitale Trans-nzoia county. I was brought up in Kisumu, Nyanza region. I am the first born in a family of 2 siblings. My parents died in a road accident when I was only five years and so my brother and I were left as orphans. My uncle took care of us, so we moved from Kisumu to Kitale.
I managed to finish my primary and secondary education and I passed very well. I could not join college because my uncle had his own children who were still schooling. By Gods grace well wishers and neighbors did a fundraising and I went to college where I studied electrical and electronics studying part time, during the other time I worked as a cleaner in a supermarket in Kitale town where the little salary I got I used to pay fees for my younger brother, and save for my studies. In college I attained a diploma in electrical and electronics. After graduating from college I was promoted from a cleaner to a sales representative in electrical and electronic department. I later started my own business of electronics repair.
My hobbies are traveling, socializing, listening to music and reading.

My Business

My business is located along Kitale, Kapenguria highway next to Kapenguria bus station. It deals with electronics repair such as television, mobile phones, and radios. The business is ideal because this location is populated and there is no competition. Having necessary knowledge in this business am able to handle different kinds of customers. I get $300 every month, I use the profit to pay electricity bill, rent, re-invest and pay fees for my brother.
My dream and aim is to expand this business to different parts of the town.

Loan Proposal

When i get this loan i will use it to purchase electronic spare parts i.e ICs,transistors, diodes and resitors to stock my shop.I have a ready market since i buy the spares from other shops to replace the faulty ones.Introducing this new commodity to my business will improve efficieny since i will save the time i spent looking for the spares. This will also increase my profits enabling me to pay the loan and reinvest further.
Estimated budget:
ICs - @ ksh150 x 20 = ksh 3000/=
Transistors ksh 100 x 30 = ksh 3000/=
Diodes,resistors @ ksh 100 x 30 = ksh 3000/=
